About Schizophrenia

The term Schizophrenia refers to a wide array of separate specific conditions, but they all share common key components. This mental disorder is categorized by hallucinations and delusions.

Hallucinations involve the brain registering some form of input when there is none. as in seeing or hearing things that are not there.  Delusions are ideas that the individual perceives to be completely true and valid but are actually false.

As with any mental condition, it is not a disorder unless it significantly impacts a person's health, relationships, and/or daily life.
